RSJ Software is a one-person company, started by a school IT professional with decades of hands-on experience in school server rooms. The founder still works in school IT and builds the tools he wished existed.
It is being built from the ground up: no investors, no sales team, no consultants. That is a constraint, and it is also the point. Every product has to earn its place on a busy Monday morning, because the person who wrote it has one too.
Schools pay a great deal for tools that need a consultant to set up, a support contract to keep alive and a procurement cycle to renew. We would rather build things you can install yourself, understand without a glossary, and afford without a meeting.
RSJ is our family's initials. It is also what a builder calls a rolled steel joist: the beam that holds a house up. Nobody looks at it once the plaster is on. It just carries the load, year after year.
That is the standard we build to. Every product here is meant to be fitted once, and then quietly relied on.
Built with the best tools going, AI assistants included. The plans, the checking and the signing-off are done by one school IT professional who has to live with the result on a Monday morning.
